Transformation Through Service Program

Every human being has inherent gifts, unrealized dreams, and hidden capabilities. After twenty years of cooperative learning and group service, the Center for Purposeful Living was born, and is exploring, testing, and applying proven methods for unlocking our hidden capacities—our highest potential for living and serving soulfully.

Sharing these methods with others who want to make a positive difference in the world is the purpose of CPL’s Transformation Through Service (TTS) education program.

Transformation Through Service is a challenging, one-year, experiential learning program for persons who aspire to expand their capacity to serve and to uncover deeper meaning and purpose in life. The program provides a focused and balanced structure, blending study, hands-on service, introspective reflection, one-on-one mentoring, and living in a cooperative and purposeful community.

TTS specializes in assisting students to put theory into practice. A variety of service-learning laboratories—including CPL’s successful business, California Fresh Catering—facilitates the process. Practical spirituality, service entrepreneurship, and conscious evolution are major themes, providing a solid framework for a life of creative service, continuing growth, and ever-expanding meaning and purpose.

Everyone who qualifies for enrollment in the one-year program receives a full-tuition scholarship plus room and board at no cost. Full- and part-time learning opportunities are available.
